Georgia Smiling
Dear Visitor,

I hope you enjoyed the spring bank holiday. I think that’s it with the bank holidays until August now, but no doubt someone will let me know if I’m wrong.

My news this month is that Georgia Wilkinson came into the world at six minutes to midnight on Saturday 21st May. The picture is one taken by her mother, my niece Katy, and you can see the obligatory cat in the background. She has two – I’m not sure if that tail belongs to Peeka or Boo. My photographic efforts weren’t up to much – I think I had the camera on the wrong setting. But I’ve got loads of pictures from Katy, should you want to see more. Just let me know if you do.

Georgia’s name is a coincidence, incidentally – she isn’t called after our cat. He, some of you will know, is now a year old, and you can catch up with him on his own page. He seemed a little puzzled by Georgia when she visited, but interested. I don’t know how he would have reacted if she’d cried – I imagine it would have alarmed him a little. She seems to be a very good baby – let’s hope for Katy’s sake she stays that way!

I have now caught up with the competition prizes, and this month’s winners will be hearing from me shortly. Did you know that every month someone wins a copy of the video of A Shred of Evidence? It isn’t available commercially, so this is the only way you can get a copy. Why not have a go? If you prefer, you could opt for a signed first-edition hardback, or (for the moment) an unabridged audio book. Runners-up received a signed paperback. And it’s free!

As you can see, the tree has lost its blossom and is now in its summer clothes – all we need to go with that is the summer. Who knows? We might get one. I think it fell on a Thursday last year.

I haven’t actually dredged up any fascinating facts about June (which I’m sure will devastate you all), so I think that’s about it for this month.

See you in July!

Love,
Jill
